The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has organized an educational seminar for local handball players to raise awareness about clean sport and reinforce the fight against doping.
The main objective of the event was to promote clean sport values, strengthen anti-doping efforts, and increase athletes' knowledge about anti-doping principles, Idman.biz reports.
The seminar covered topics such as anti-doping rule violations, their legal and ethical consequences, as well as athletes' rights and responsibilities under anti-doping regulations. Participants were also informed about what to expect during doping control procedures, including the pre-testing phases.
In addition, the seminar provided detailed information on the list of prohibited substances, the risks of their use, and their adverse effects on health.
The event also emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and staying committed to clean sport—not only for the athletes’ careers but also to set an example for the wider community.
At the end of the session, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion.
