President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the opening ceremony of the annual global sports tournament titled Games of the Future 2025, held in Abu Dhabi.
According to AZERTAC, the Games of the Future is a global sports event planned to be held on an annual basis.
The tournament is conducted in two stages. During the first stage, athletes compete in traditional physical sports disciplines, while the second stage tests participants’ skills in digital games. Held under the slogan "Next generation of people. Play your future", the tournament will feature athletes from various countries competing across a total of 11 sports disciplines.
It is worth noting that last year the UAE won the right to host the Games of the Future 2025, emerging victorious among nine candidate countries.
