Nilufar Agazade, one of the flag bearers for Azerbaijan at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, has shared that she feels immense pride representing her country.
According to Idman.biz, the Azerbaijani Volleyball Federation (AVF) reported her statements.
Speaking about the experience, she said that stepping onto the field as a flag bearer during the opening ceremony was both an honorable and exciting moment:
“Representing my country at such a prestigious event is a great honor. Walking out as a flag bearer at the opening ceremony was both honorable and thrilling. This is my first time participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games, and it is a very joyful experience for me.”
Agazade added that the volleyball competitions have already started, and her team has won both of its matches 3:0:
“Our goal is to continue this successful performance and achieve high results. I wish success to both our volleyball team and all Azerbaijani athletes representing the country in other sports.”
The national volleyball player also expressed gratitude for the trust and support shown to her, adding:
“We will do our best to represent Azerbaijan with dignity and proudly wave our flag.”
