The reigning Azerbaijani women’s handball champions “Azerrail” have added four players to their squad.
This was reported to AZERTAC by the head coach of the Baku club, Aleksandr Revva, Idman.biz reports.
He stated that the team has signed goalkeeper Irina Panchenko, Irina Mikhalkovich, Zinaida Akhundova, and Aida Zafarova. All four players have signed one-year contracts.
“Azerrail” will face Austria’s “Union Korneuburg” in the second qualifying round of the European Cup. The first-leg matches are scheduled for September 27–28, with the return legs set for October 4–5.
