The opponent of Azerbaijani women's handball club Kur in the third round of the EHF European Cup has been determined.
As İdman.Biz reports, the Azerbaijani team will face WHC Cair Skopje from North Macedonia.
In the 2024/25 season, Cair achieved its best result in the EHF European Cup, reaching the round of 16 for the first time.
Kür, meanwhile, has set a club record in this season's competition. In the second round, the Mingachevir side secured two home victories over Cyprus' APOEL, winning 40:18 and 39:13. The first round of the competition was not held. Thanks to these victories, Kür claimed its first-ever wins in European competition and advanced to the third round.
The third-round matches are scheduled for 7–8 and 14–15 November. A total of 32 teams will compete at that stage, including 10 clubs that received direct qualification to the third round. The winner of the tie will advance to the round of 16, which is scheduled for January 2027.
