Azerbaijan’s High League handball referees, sisters Laman and Aydan Hamidova, will participate in the Universiade to be held in Covilha, Portugal.
The tournament will be organized under the European Handball Federation’s Young Referees Project, featuring 24 teams competing in 4 groups, Idman.biz reports.
In addition to officiating matches, our referees will take part in a seminar where they will be tested on game rules, physical fitness, and English language skills, as well as participate in practical analyses related to match management.
Laman and Aydan Hamidova also refereed at the European Open Championship last year in Gothenburg, Sweden.
