At the Universiade held in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region, Azerbaijan has won its first medal.
According to special correspondent of Idman.biz in Germany, the rhythmic gymnastics group team claimed the top spot on the podium in the all-around event.
The team, consisting of Laman Alimuradova, Darya Sorokina, Yelyzaveta Luzan, Gullu Aghalarzade, and Kamilla Aliyeva, scored 26.350 points in the routine with 3 balls and 2 hoops. As a result, our representatives earned a total of 50.500 points in the all-around and secured the gold medal.
Ukraine took silver with 44.450 points, while Japan claimed bronze with 41.550 points.
Our group routine team will compete in the finals tomorrow in the routines with 5 ribbons, and with 3 balls and 2 hoops.
