Azerbaijan set to compete in rhythmic gymnastics at Universiade 2025

Azerbaijani gymnasts Kamilla Seyidzade and Ilona Zeynalova will compete in the individual program at the Universiade, set to take place from July 16 to 27 in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.

The athletes will participate in the all-around competition and aim to qualify for the finals in individual apparatus events, Idman.biz reports.

Azerbaijan will also be represented in the group routines category. The team includes Laman Alimuradova, Darya Sorokina, Yelyzaveta Luzan, Gullu Aghalarzada, and Kamilla Aliyeva. Three sets of medals will be contested in the group events.

A total of five group teams, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan, will take part in the Universiade.

The rhythmic gymnastics competitions will be held from July 17 to 19 in the city of Essen.
