“More than 90 gymnasts from a dozen nations will vie for five sets of medals in Women’s and Men’s Groups and Pairs and Mixed Pairs. Headliners include reigning World champions in three categories: Women’s Pair Maysae Bouhouch and Silke Macharis (BEL), Mixed Pairs Raziya Seyidli and Aghasif Rahimov (AZE) as well as Anastasiia Semenovych and Bohdan Ivanyk (UKR), and Men’s Pair Daniel Abbasov and Murad Rafiyev (AZE),” announced the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).

This was stated on FIG’s official website in an article dedicated to the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup, which kicks off on May 30 in Bulgaria, Idman.biz reports.

“The last World Cup in Puurs-Sint-Amands (BEL) introduced brothers Vsevolod and Yaroslav Ossolodkov (USA), who took the Men’s Pair competition by storm, upsetting World champions and World Championships medallists alike with fresh, needle-sharp performances. They will try to do it again in Burgas.

Men’s Pair just might be the most competitive event in Burgas. In addition to the Ossolodkovs and World champions from Azerbaijan, 2022 World Balance champions Vadim Shulyar and Daniyel Dil (KAZ) will be trying to get a cut at the medals.

The host nation will be represented by Mixed Pair Ralitsa Kirova and Plamen Yanev (BUL).”

The Burgas World Cup will serve as a key preparatory event for many athletes ahead of the World Games set to take place this August in Chengdu, China.
