He commented on the gold medal won in the tumbling team competition at the European Championship held in Guimaraes, Portugal: "An interesting fight is over. It should be noted that we surpassed Great Britain by 2 points. In the World Championship, we were ahead of them by 1 point. And now we have achieved a more confident victory. I congratulate my teammates and say thank you."
Malkin also spoke about his personal first place, where he took the 4th place: "Unfortunately, my decisive combination failed. Because of this, I could not fight for the awards. I congratulate Tofig Aliyev on the silver medal he won. It was nice to have him on the victory podium. Now we will prepare for the World Championship."
It should be noted that Malkin won the team competition together with Tofig Aliyev, Adil Hajizade and Bilal Gurbanov.
