At the III CIS Games, Azerbaijan will be represented by 340 athletes competing in 23 sports.

The largest number of Azerbaijani athletes will participate in judo and fencing, with 32 competitors in each. In taekwondo and volleyball, 28 athletes will take part.
Azerbaijani athletes will also compete in team sports: football, chovgan, volleyball, and 3x3 basketball. In addition, the country will be represented in rhythmic gymnastics by a group routine team.
As the host nation, Azerbaijan will participate with two teams in several sports, including judo, taekwondo, fencing, badminton, and karate.
The III CIS Games will take place from September 28 to October 8 across seven cities in Azerbaijan: Ganja, Gabala, Mingachevir, Goygol, Khankendi, Yevlakh, and Sheki. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the Ganja City Stadium.
