“Zira” has played its 200th match under the management of Rashad Sadygov.
The milestone game coincided with the second round of the Misli Premier League, in which the Baku club defeated “Gabala” 2-1 in an away match, Idman.biz reports.
Since taking charge of “Zira” in the summer of 2020, Sadygov’s team has played 166 Premier League matches, 22 Azerbaijan Cup games, and 12 European competition fixtures. The 43-year-old coach’s squad has achieved 91 wins, 57 draws, and 52 losses during this period, scoring 251 goals and conceding 188.
Sadygov made his managerial debut for “Zira” on August 23, 2020. Interestingly, his first league match with the club was also against Gabala, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
