Modric plays last game for Real Madrid

Luka Modric has officially played his final game for Real Madrid, ending a legendary 13-year spell with the Spanish giants.

Idman.biz, citing BBC, reports, that the 39-year-old Croatian midfielder departs as the club’s most decorated player, with 28 trophies, including six Champions League titles. His final match came in a Club World Cup semi-final defeat to PSG.

Modric joined Real from Tottenham in 2012 and went on to make 597 appearances, scoring 43 goals and providing 95 assists. He won the Ballon d'Or in 2018 and became Real’s oldest La Liga scorer at 39. Despite reduced minutes this season, he remained a leader and fan favorite.

Announcing his exit, Modric said, “The moment I never wanted has come, but that’s football.” He will continue his career at AC Milan. Club president Florentino Perez praised him as a player who "captured the imagination of Madridismo." As Real Madrid begins a new era, Modric leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
