He shared his thoughts with the club's press service after today’s friendly match against Bayburtspor in Erzurum. Bakhshiyev emphasized that the main goal of test matches is to evaluate the team: “Players work out in the fitness gym in the morning and train on the pitch in the afternoon. This was our first friendly match. Of course, we were aware of our opponent’s level, so our aim was to test all players and get them into match rhythm. We focused on helping new players adapt to the team and improving coordination between the lines. In matches like this, the result doesn’t matter, it’s about how well the players execute the given tasks. Everyone was motivated. We will keep working. We want to make the most of the time before our official matches and be fully prepared.”
Araz-Nakhchivan defeated the Turkish side 14–0 in the friendly.
