Azerbaijan's representative in the UEFA Europa League may face Slovenian side Celje in the first qualifying round.
This possibility emerged after the seeding for two of the round's participants was finalized, Idman.biz reports.
With a UEFA coefficient of 14,000, Celje has been placed among the seeded teams, while Hungary’s Paksi falls under the unseeded category. Since Sabah and Zira — the Azerbaijani teams in the competition — will be unseeded, Celje becomes one of their possible opponents.
Celje is now the fourth potential rival for the Azerbaijani side, joining Shakhtyor (Belarus), Legia Warsaw (Poland), and CFR Cluj (Romania) in the seeded group.
The draw for the first qualifying round will take place on June 17.
