Kaxaber Tsxadadze: “We are doing our best to conclude the first League as Champions” - INTERVIEW

Kaxaber Tsxadadze, the Gabala head coach, recently gave an interview to the club's press service. In the interview, the Georgian specialist shared his thoughts on the team's performance and objectives for the season.

- How would you evaluate Gabala's four games so far this season? Are you getting what you want from the team?

I am satisfied with the performance of my team up to this point. I believe we can say our results have been good. My players are very attentive and fully execute all the tasks we give them. Their hard work in training is completely satisfying for me.

- In your interviews, you have mentioned that other teams play with special motivation against Gabala. Do you think this is against or in favor of Gabala?

Certainly, there is a high level of motivation from all clubs against Gabala. This is because the team has previously competed in the Premier League and achieved great success. Everyone wants to present themselves better against Gabala. We respect all our opponents and must continue to do so. This motivates our players to be even more vigilant.

- Many clubs in the First League face issues with their pitch quality. How does playing on such fields affect your team's performance?

Yes, I have repeatedly pointed out that the condition of the pitches is not satisfactory. In such circumstances, it becomes challenging to play well and showcase attractive football. This issue affects not only Gabala but all clubs. No team can exhibit the game they desire on these types of pitches.

- The primary goal for your team this season is undoubtedly the championship. Many believe Gabala will handle this easily...

The championship is very difficult and demanding. No one can claim that becoming champions in this league is an easy feat. There are different teams and different styles of play. From day one, I stated that the championship would be challenging. Therefore, it is difficult to predict what will happen. However, we are doing our best to conclude this year’s First League as champions.

- How is the preparation for the upcoming match against Difai going?

After our last match against Baku Sporting, we allowed the team a few days of rest. We then regrouped and resumed our training sessions. Our players are working hard and enjoying their training to achieve the desired results. As a coaching staff, we are satisfied with the team’s preparation. The only issue is that three of our players are with the U21 national team, and they will only join us two days before the match. All other processes are going as we want.

- In the last round, you defeated Baku Sporting 2-0 away from home, although the opponent's pitch was in poor condition. The draw for the cup game has also taken place, with Gabala set to face Baku Sporting again in the second qualifying round. What are your thoughts on the cup match?

Our cup matches have not started yet. Before that, we still have important league games ahead. We face Difai on the 19th, so we are focused on this match at the moment. We are only preparing for our next game. It is too early to think about future matches beyond this one. Therefore, we are solely concentrating on seriously preparing for our next match.
