A new seminar for boxing referees in Azerbaijan has been held.
The training sessions organized by the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation (ABF) took place in Gabala, Idman.biz reports.
The seminar was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center and attended by ABF Secretary General Nagi Safarov and the head of the Shaki-Zagatala Regional Youth and Sports Department, Fakhri Soltanov.
Opening the event, Nagi Safarov stated that one of the main priorities of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation is the development of referees, increasing the number of stars, and successfully representing the country on the international stage. He noted that various trainings are held annually, and necessary steps are taken to involve young people in refereeing.
Next, Emil Gurbanaliyev, chairman of the ABF Referees Committee, provided information about the seminar agenda.
Professor and international-level referee Galib Abiyev explained the new rules to be applied and gave necessary recommendations.
The seminar concluded with a Q&A session for the referees.
