Adedamola, the uncle of former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, has stated that the athlete has decided to end his professional boxing career following a horrific fatal car accident, İdman.Biz reports.
“The main thing is that he has retired from boxing. This makes us very happy, because every time he stepped into the ring, we went through intense emotions,” Adedamola said.
“Whenever he was knocked down, it felt as if our hearts were jumping out of our chests. All those emotional experiences during his fights were too much of a trauma for us as well. Now that he has said he is leaving to the loudest applause, we are happy. He informed the family of his decision,” Adedamola was quoted as saying by Punch.
