On September 20-21, the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) organized a pre-season seminar for referees at the Baku Sports Palace.
According to Idman.biz, the seminar was led by Alakbar Hasanov, chairman of the Azerbaijan Basketball Referees Union and a FIBA national instructor.
During the event, attended by 13 referees, updates introduced by FIBA and key aspects of the game were thoroughly explained. At the end of the seminar, referees underwent tests covering both physical fitness and knowledge of game rules.
The seminar was also attended as guests by Turqay Zeytingoz, sports director of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation, and Vitaly Stepanovskyy, Ukrainian head coach of the "Neftchi" club.
