Sabah players are making an impression with their individual performances in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds.
According to UEFA’s official statistics, Sabah’s Polish defender Tymoteusz Puchacz is among the leaders for assists in the qualifying rounds, with three to his name. He shares the lead in this category with Everton Bala of Levski and Josip Mišić of Dinamo Zagreb.
Sabah’s Serbian midfielder Veljko Simić is also among the leading scorers, having netted three goals. UEFA’s current statistics show Simić level at the top of the scoring charts alongside Everton Bala and Josip Mišić.
It should be noted that Simić also scored in Sabah’s away match against Aarhus in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The Azerbaijani side lost the match 2–1.
