This world championship was especially significant for Hajiyev, as it marked his final international tournament. In accordance with UWW regulations, our compatriot officially handed over his whistle and wristbands after reaching the age of 60, thus ending his international refereeing career. On the final day of the competition, the governing body presented him with a commemorative gift.
