The World Championship for wrestlers under 17 continues in Athens, Greece.
On the fifth day of the tournament, freestyle wrestlers began their competition, Idman.biz reports.
Two of our wrestlers who took to the mat have secured spots in the semifinals.

Ravan Hasanzade defeated Belarusian Makar Markovich (UWW) by technical superiority (12:0) and then beat Uzbekistan’s Jakhongir Tulkunov 4:2 to advance to the semifinals. In the semifinal, Ravan will face American Ariah Mills.
55 kg
Ruslan Alizada defeated Moldovan Dan Bulgaru and Canadian Aaharen Piranavan with identical scores of 10:0. However, in the quarterfinals, he lost to Russian Chingis Saryglar (UWW) by a narrow 8:9 margin.
65 kg
Huseyn Ismayilov beat Canadian Liam Gorton 4:2, Greek Konstantinos Michailidis by technical superiority (11:0), and Kyrgyz Adisbek Altynbekov 2:1. He will face Kazakhstan's Yeraly Askerbek in the semifinal.
80 kg
Nihad Suleymanli won his debut match against Armenia’s Vache Aslanyan with a score of 7:1. However, in the 1/8 final, he conceded victory with just 3 seconds remaining and lost to Russian Issa Zangiev (UWW) 5:7.
110 kg
Hakim Taghiyev beat Belarusian Mikita Tkachyk (UWW) by technical superiority (10:0) and American Alexander Taylor 7:6. In the quarterfinals, he was defeated by Russian European champion Magomedrasul Omarov (UWW) with a score of 0:5.
The semifinals will begin at 18:00 Baku time.
The World Championship will conclude on August 3.
