She commented on winning a gold medal at the International multi-sport event “BRICS Sports Games Kazan 2024”, the capital of Tatarstan.
Mammadova said that the competition was a great experience for her: "This is a great success. Of course, It's so hard to put my feelings after the gold medal into words. Before going to the race, I aimed for the championship and believed that I would climb to the top of the podium. Of course, belief is half the battle. We prepared at a high level for this tournament held in Kazan. The most difficult of my meetings was with a Russian wrestler. I had a little difficulty in fighting against him."
She aimed to sing Azerbaijan's national anthem at the World Championship: "I believe that I will get a good result there, wave our flag high, and sing our national anthem. This will be the biggest source of success and pride for me."
It should be noted that Azerbaijani athletes have won 11 medals (3-3-5) at the Games.
