"All my fights were difficult. Nevertheless, I saw the results of my suffering."
Nihat Guluzade (60 kg), the winner of the Azerbaijan Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship, told Idman.biz.
The 21-year-old wrestler, who defeated Ziyad Zeynalov in the finals, said that there is serious competition in the weight category: "In the quarter-finals, I lost to Sakit Guliyev with a score of 0:7. I managed to come back and win with a score of 8:7. My opponent in the final, Ziyad Zeynalov, has just changed his weight. He gave me trouble. In my opinion, no competitor should be looked down upon. I saw them all as number 1. Thank goodness I defeated them all."
According to the wrestler, who also won a gold medal at the World Military Championship held in Baku, his goals are big: "World U-23 Wrestling Championship awaits me, which will be held in Baku. I will prepare for the World Cup. I will try to sing our anthem and wave our flag in our homeland. I also set myself the goal of becoming number 1 in the national team."
It should be noted that Sakit Guliyev and Ilkin Gurbanov won bronze medals in the 60 kg weight category.
