Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho has equaled Arsene Wenger's record for Champions League victories following his team's thrilling 4-3 win over Roma.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Spanish giants secured a dramatic comeback victory in their second league-phase match of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League on October 14.
The result marked Mourinho's 86th victory as a manager in the competition, putting him level with former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Only three coaches have registered more Champions League wins: Carlo Ancelotti (124), Pep Guardiola (117) and Sir Alex Ferguson (102).
The Portuguese tactician has previously won the Champions League twice, leading Porto to the title in 2004 and Inter Milan to European glory in 2010.
Against Roma, Mourinho's former club, Real Madrid came from 3-1 down to secure all three points. Endrick and Antonio Rüdiger scored in the closing stages, with the German defender netting the decisive goal in stoppage time.
The victory not only strengthened Real Madrid's position in the league phase but also allowed Mourinho to reach another significant milestone in his illustrious managerial career.
