Toni Kroos plans to launch coaching career after Real Madrid retirement

Former Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Toni Kroos is planning to begin a coaching career, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

As reported by İdman.Biz, the 36-year-old has informed the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) of his intention to enrol in a specialised coaching programme for former professional footballers next season.

Upon completing the course, Kroos will be eligible to obtain a UEFA A coaching licence, marking an important step towards a future role on the touchline.

According to the source, the former midfielder is seriously considering a career in professional coaching and has ambitions to work with a top-level team.

Kroos retired from professional football in the summer of 2024, following Germany's participation in the UEFA European Championship.

During his illustrious career, the German midfielder established himself as one of the most successful players of his generation. He won six UEFA Champions League titles, including five with Real Madrid and one with Bayern Munich, as well as the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany.

Kroos spent a decade at Real Madrid after joining the Spanish giants from Bayern Munich in 2014, becoming a key figure in one of the most successful periods in the club's history.

His potential transition into coaching could mark a new chapter in a football career defined by exceptional passing ability, tactical intelligence and remarkable consistency.
