Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo has confirmed that he donates part of his earnings to charity in Croatia.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Olmo's representative recently revealed that the player donates 2% of his salary to Vukovar.
"I didn't think this would become public. After leaving Dinamo, I felt that I owed a lot to Croatia. I wanted to give something back, so I decided to donate part of my money to Vukovar," Olmo told reporters.
The Barcelona player made the statement at a press conference ahead of Spain's UEFA Nations League match against Croatia in Split, with his words receiving applause from those in attendance.
Olmo began his professional career with Dinamo Zagreb before moving to RB Leipzig. In 2024, he joined Barcelona.
According to media reports, Olmo earns €15.6 million per year at the Catalan club. Two percent of that amount is approximately €300,000.
