England winger Anthony Gordon has praised Trent Alexander-Arnold after the latter helped him score in the 2-0 UEFA Nations League victory over the Czech Republic.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Barcelona player opened the scoring in the 47th minute after Alexander-Arnold picked out his run with an excellent pass.
"I think we played well. We played from a position of strength and dominated the game. We could have scored more — perhaps we lacked a little quality when it came to finishing our chances. There are things to work on. We need to dominate, really get hold of teams and see games out confidently," Gordon told ITV Sport.
The winger particularly highlighted Alexander-Arnold's ability to spot and execute difficult passes.
"I make those runs all the time, but there are only a few players who have the quality, technique and courage to attempt that kind of pass, even when there is a risk of getting it wrong. That's why Trent is so good. I really wanted to play with him.
"He has his own journey with the national team. Of course, he would like to play more, but during this camp he has shown what a great person and team-mate he is. I've really enjoyed being around him," Gordon added.
Harry Kane scored England's second goal in the 69th minute to seal the 2-0 victory. The match was played on September 29 as part of the second round of the UEFA Nations League.
