Baku Metro will extend the operating hours of three stations in connection with the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Baku Metro CJSC announced that Icherisheher, Sahil and 28 May stations will operate under an enhanced service regime from September 24 to 26.
Additional staff will be deployed at the three stations in accordance with the schedule for major public events.
On the nights of September 24-25 and September 25-26, Icherisheher, Sahil and 28 May stations will remain open for passenger entry until 01:00.
Services on the Green and Purple lines will operate according to the regular schedule, while the other stations on the Red Line will close at 00:00.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix gets underway in Baku today, marking the tenth time the Azerbaijani capital has hosted a Formula 1 race weekend.
The opening day's programme began at 10:00 with Formula 2 free practice. The first Formula 1 practice session is scheduled for 12:30, followed by two Formula 2 qualifying sessions. The day will conclude with the second Formula 1 practice session.
Formula 1 action will continue on September 25, alongside the Formula 2 sprint race, before the main Formula 1 race takes place on September 26.
