Tottenham have decided against pursuing a deal for former Inter, Paris Saint-Germain and Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi, who is currently a free agent.
As reported by İdman.Biz citing Football Insider, the 33-year-old is not viewed by the London club as a realistic reinforcement at this stage.
Earlier reports had linked Tottenham with a move for Icardi. However, another key factor is that Spurs would not be able to register the Argentine for Premier League matches before January, as the club have already submitted their final 25-man squad.
A return to Serie A is currently considered the most likely next step in Icardi's career. Lazio and several other Italian clubs are reportedly interested in signing the forward.
Icardi spent the 2025/26 season with Galatasaray, making 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing three assists.
