Atletico Madrid have publicly responded to Real Madrid following their 2-1 victory in the Madrid derby.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the exchange followed criticism of the refereeing from Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho.
At his post-match press conference, the Portuguese coach displayed printed images of two incidents involving Atletico players Cristian Romero and Lee Kang-in. Mourinho argued that both players should have been sent off and also criticised referee Miguel Angel Ortiz Arias.
Atletico responded on social media by posting an image of gears accompanied by the words: "The mechanism is activated."
The club added: "This year they have a new challenge — three weeks without La Liga. This season they started very early."
Atletico also used the hashtag #StopAcosoArbitralYA, which translates as "Stop pressuring referees right now."
Earlier, Atletico had published another post featuring a photo of Mourinho from the press conference alongside a similar call to stop putting pressure on match officials.
The derby victory saw Atletico claim three points against their city rivals in one of the most high-profile fixtures of the La Liga season.
