Azerbaijani defender Can Hajiyev will continue his career in Türkiye after joining Galatasaray.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing sportal.az, the young footballer has signed a two-year contract with the Istanbul club and will play for Galatasaray's U19 team during this period.
The Turkish club's youth side will also compete in the UEFA Youth League, giving Hajiyev an opportunity to gain experience at European level.
Standing 1.87 metres tall, Hajiyev is a versatile defender who can operate both at right-back and in central defence.
Last season, he played for the youth team of Swiss club Sion before making the move to Türkiye.
Hajiyev is also reportedly attracting attention at international level. The football federations of Türkiye and Kazakhstan are said to be interested in bringing the defender into their respective national-team systems.
