Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has reacted to the club's unsuccessful attempt to sign Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Sports Illustrated, the Spain international said he is satisfied with Barcelona's current squad and does not consider the failure to bring in another star forward a major problem.
"We are playing very well right now, and you can see that. We don't have a problem scoring goals. Alvarez is a great player, but I'm happy with the squad we have," Yamal said.
Barcelona were interested in the Argentina World Cup winner throughout the summer transfer window. However, Atletico Madrid refused to sell the striker to the Catalan club.
Hansi Flick's side have scored 12 goals in their opening three matches of the new La Liga season. Yamal himself scored twice in Barcelona's 5-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano.
The 19-year-old was also named the best player in La Liga for the 2025/26 season at the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE) awards ceremony.
Barcelona are also among Baku-based Sabah's opponents in the UEFA Champions League league phase. The two teams will meet in Baku on November 25.
