Barcelona have announced the departures of two of their young players, Alvaro Cortes and Toni Fernandez.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Barcelona and Antwerp have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of defender Cortes.
According to the Catalan club, Barcelona have retained a percentage of any future transfer fee for the 21-year-old.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Fernandez has joined Italian side Venezia on loan. Barcelona have retained an option to bring the player back in the future, as well as a percentage of any subsequent transfer.
Cortes made just one appearance for Barcelona's first team last season. In the 2025/26 campaign, he played 27 matches for Barcelona B, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
Fernandez also featured once in La Liga last season. The youngster recorded five goals and three assists in 24 appearances for the club's second team.
The moves will give both players an opportunity to gain more regular first-team experience after spending most of last season with Barcelona's reserve side.
It should be noted that Barcelona are among Sabah Baku's opponents in the UEFA Champions League league phase this season. The two clubs will meet in Baku on November 25.
