Barcelona are showing interest in Villarreal and Georgia striker Georges Mikautadze as the Catalan club continues to assess options to strengthen its attack.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing El Chiringuito TV, Barcelona have contacted Villarreal regarding the 25-year-old forward.
Mikautadze is reportedly being considered as an alternative to Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, with Barcelona's pursuit of the Argentina international now facing difficulties.
Villarreal are not expected to let their forward leave cheaply. According to the report, the "Yellow Submarine" want €70 million for Mikautadze, whose current contract runs until 2031.
The Georgia international enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists in 44 appearances for Villarreal across all competitions.
Barcelona have been exploring several options as they look to reinforce their forward line. Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has also previously been mentioned as a potential target if the Catalans are unable to complete a deal for Alvarez.
Mikautadze's name has now been added to that shortlist, although Villarreal's €70 million valuation could become a major factor in any potential negotiations.
