Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho has praised Kylian Mbappe, admitting that the forward's quality even makes him laugh during training sessions.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Portuguese coach spoke highly of the French international while discussing his performances and influence on the Spanish giants.
"Mbappe is incredible. He makes me laugh in training. Why? Because he's just too good. He's on another level," Mourinho said on El Chiringuito.
The 63-year-old coach also refused to judge Mbappe solely on the basis of last season, stressing that it was a difficult campaign not only for the Frenchman but for Real Madrid as a whole.
"It's not for me to judge or analyse what he did last season. It was a strange and difficult season for everyone," he added.
Mourinho also mentioned Jude Bellingham when reflecting on the performances of Real Madrid's leading players. While praising the England midfielder's displays at the Club World Cup, he highlighted Mbappe's historic achievements.
"Jude Bellingham had an incredible Club World Cup, but Mbappe made history," Mourinho said.
Mbappe remains one of the key figures in Real Madrid's attack. The France captain joined the Madrid club from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024 and quickly established himself as one of the team's main goalscoring threats.
The 27-year-old is expected to play a central role in Mourinho's plans as Real Madrid target major trophies in the new season.
