Georgina Rodriguez made her jewellery the centrepiece of her bridal look during her intimate wedding to Cristiano Ronaldo in Cascais, Portugal.
According to Idman.Biz, one of the most striking details of the ceremony was Rodriguez's spectacular Chopard necklace featuring a 50-carat stone. She paired it with her enormous engagement ring featuring an oval-cut diamond.
The jewellery added a touch of extraordinary luxury to what was otherwise a deliberately private and understated ceremony. Ronaldo and Rodriguez reportedly married in the living room of their new summer home, surrounded by their children and without the large number of celebrity guests previously rumoured in the media.
For the wedding, both chose outfits by Gucci, paying tribute to the beginning of their relationship. The couple first met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Georgina was working as a sales assistant.
The ceremony was held exactly 10 years after their first meeting. After exchanging vows, the newlyweds also received a blessing at the Sanctuary of Fatima.
Despite the luxurious jewellery and designer outfits, the couple decided against a lavish public celebration, reportedly considering privacy one of the greatest luxuries available to them.
There was also no traditional honeymoon. Ronaldo had to return to Saudi Arabia due to the start of the football season.
The Portuguese star has also reportedly hinted that this year could be the last of his professional career. After retirement, Ronaldo plans to devote more time to his family, travel and padel, while the couple have not ruled out having more children.
