Antoine Griezmann scored his first career goal in the Leagues Cup to help Orlando City secure a victory over Mexican side Monterrey.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the 35-year-old French striker broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, finishing with a first-time strike after a pass from a teammate that left the goalkeeper with no chance.
It was Griezmann's first goal in his debut appearance in the competition.
Orlando City went on to claim a 2-1 win. Tyrese Spicer doubled the hosts' advantage from the penalty spot in the 60th minute, while Hugo Cuypers pulled one back for Monterrey in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
Griezmann had also found the net in Orlando City's previous MLS match against San Jose Earthquakes. In the club's 4-0 victory, the French forward scored the 300th goal of his club career.
