Gunners make fresh contact over Turkish playmaker, but deal remains unlikely as Real Madrid stand firm
Arsenal have renewed their interest in Arda Guler, the attacking midfielder currently at Real Madrid, as they continue to monitor creative options ahead of the summer transfer window, İdman.Biz reports.
According to Caught Offside, the north London club have already made contact with the player’s representatives to explore the possibility of a move. Arsenal previously considered signing Guler in 2025, but Real Madrid were unwilling to entertain offers at the time.
The 21-year-old, however, is understood to be content with his role in Madrid and is not actively seeking an exit. Real Madrid are also reluctant to part ways with one of their most promising young talents, particularly as they continue to build a squad around emerging stars following recent squad evolution under their current project.
Guler has featured regularly this season, making 50 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists. With a contract running until 2029 and an estimated market value of around €90 million, any potential deal would be complex and costly, leaving Arsenal with a significant challenge should they decide to pursue the transfer further.
