The Italian specialist has drawn attention through his work at Brighton and Marseille, building a reputation as a tactically flexible coach with experience in top European leagues, which makes him an appealing option for the Red Devils.
De Zerbi is not the only name under consideration. The shortlist also includes managers with Premier League and international experience, such as Oliver Glasner, Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola.
