Borussia Dortmund are preparing to open their first official international academy in Africa.
According to Idman.Biz, citing Ghana Online, the academy will be based in Ghana and is scheduled to begin operations in February 2026.
The new academy will offer football training programs for boys and girls aged between 6 and 18. The main objective is to provide young players with proper coaching from an early age and to prepare them for a professional football environment.
Borussia Dortmund’s management hopes that this project will contribute to the development of young talents in Africa and strengthen the club’s presence on the continent.
