Former Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has emerged as the main and priority candidate to take charge of the Red Devils, Idman.Biz reports, citing The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
According to the source, the club is considering Solskjaer only as an interim head coach. It is noted that a meeting between Manchester United’s management and the Norwegian specialist took place on January 6.
Darren Fletcher will serve as interim head coach this week. Solskjaer previously managed Manchester United from 2018 to 2021. On January 5, Manchester United officially announced the dismissal of Ruben Amorim from the position of head coach.
