Today is the birthday of one of the legends of Azerbaijani volleyball, Oksana Kurt (Parkhomenko).
The veteran setter turns 41 today, Idman.biz reports.
The former captain of the national team has played not only for Azerbaijani clubs but also had a career abroad in Turkiye, Switzerland, and Russia. Kurt won the Top Teams Cup with Azerrail and claimed national championship titles with the clubs she played for. She earned a silver medal in the Russian Super League with Moscow’s Dynamo but also won the national cup with the team and was named the best setter.
Oksana has also been among the top performers at the World Championship and in the Turkish Super League.
