This was stated by Yuliya Karimova, a player of the Azerbaijani national volleyball team, Idman.biz reports.
In an interview with the press service of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, the team’s libero shared her thoughts on the preparation process for the European Golden League: “After that, we traveled to Slovenia. There, we held a joint training camp with their national team and played a friendly match against a U.S. club. The team’s morale is high.”
Yuliya also spoke about the next stage of preparation: “Currently, our preparations continue in Greece. We are scheduled to play several friendly matches here. These games are very important both for strengthening our tactical readiness and for enhancing our team.”
Karimova spoke confidently about the European Golden League itself: “The tournament will begin on May 30 in Baku. I have great confidence that our team will achieve success. Our goal is to proudly wave our flag.”
The Azerbaijan national team will play its first match on May 30 in Baku against Hungary.
