The Azerbaijani women’s national volleyball team has announced its preliminary squad for the upcoming Golden European League.
Head coach Faig Garayev has included 19 players in the initial lineup, Idman.biz reports.
The roster features 8 attackers, 5 middle blockers, 4 liberos, and 2 setters. Garayev will be assisted by coaches Famil Agayev and Emin Abilov.
Liberos: Asiyat Abuyeva, Ceyran Imanova, Yuliya Karimova, and Bayaz Guluyeva.
Setters: Yana Doroshenko and Kristina Besman.
Middle Blockers: Anastasiya Mertsalova, Aynur Imanova, Aysheh Abdulazimova, Mariya Kirilyuk, and Olena Kharchenko.
Attackers: Yelyzaveta Ruban, Ilhama Azimova, Ulkar Karimova, Nikolina Bashnakova, Polina Rahimova, Margarita Stepanenko, Kseniya Pavlenko, and Yelizaveta Burkova.
Azerbaijan will kick off their campaign on May 30 in Baku against Hungary.
