Azerbaijani national volleyball team member Margarita Stepanenko has parted ways with Israeli champions Maccabi Ashdod.
Stepanenko announced her departure on social media, where she also reflected on her time with the team, Idman.biz reports.
“Thank you, Maccabi Ashdod, for an incredible season. It was a wonderful adventure,” she shared.
Stepanenko has already returned to Baku and will undergo a medical examination following a foot injury sustained during the Israeli league final against Hapoel Kfar Saba.
She will miss the upcoming Golden European League, set to kick off at the end of May.
