The prospects for cooperation between the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) and the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) have been discussed.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Minister Farid Gayibov received CEV president Roko Sikirić.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the development of volleyball in Azerbaijan, international competitions hosted by the country and prospects for further cooperation between the AVF and CEV.
The meeting was also attended by Elnur Mammadov, head of the Sports Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and CEV vice-president Guy Juwet.
The talks come as Azerbaijan continues to host major international volleyball events, with Baku currently staging Group C matches of the CEV EuroVolley 2026 Women.
