Azerbaijan's women's national volleyball team prepared thoroughly for their European Championship Group C match against Spain in Baku, according to Yelizaveta Ruban.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Azerbaijan outside hitter spoke about the victory in comments to the press service of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation.
"I want to thank everyone, all the fans. We prepared very seriously for this match. We had also faced Spain in the European League and lost. However, we worked on our mistakes and shortcomings, and this time we managed to win.
"I congratulate my team and wish them success in the upcoming matches," Ruban said.
Azerbaijan defeated Spain 3-0 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
The result continued Azerbaijan's strong start to the European Championship on home soil.
