The Group C matches of the CEV EuroVolley 2026 Women will begin in Baku today.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Azerbaijan national team will open their campaign against Portugal. The match at the National Gymnastics Arena is scheduled to start at 19:00 Baku time.
The official opening ceremony of the European Championship will take place at 18:15, ahead of the match.
Coached by Faig Garayev, Azerbaijan will compete in Group C alongside Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania and Spain. Under the competition format, the top four teams in the group will advance to the playoff stage.
The Group C matches in Baku will continue until August 28.
EuroVolley 2026, which concludes on September 6, is being jointly hosted by Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Sweden and the Czech Republic.
