In several districts of Baku, private vehicles are temporarily allowed to use bus lanes, while parking services have been suspended.
According to Idman.biz, the changes affect Azadliq avenue, Shamsi Badalbeyli street, and a number of other areas with heavy traffic. Drivers report that the measure has already significantly reduced congestion.
Authorities note that the decision is also aimed at improving pedestrian safety.
The temporary measures, introduced in connection with ongoing competitions, will remain in effect until the 23rd of the month.
